First of all in tablet mode in order to use handwriting feature mostly I have to use my finger. The handwriting window doesn't come up with pen. (I'm using default pen that goes with newest x360 spectre 13)
Second issue is that after return to laptop mode touchpad click just doesn't work whatsoever. The cursor is moving and pop up windows are appearing but I can't click. Sometimes I can you finger instead of cursor but typing with keyboard when this is happening is just a disaster. Some letter keys print letters but others doing unknown to me things. Good that it can be fixed easily just by closing and opening laptop.
I understand that this is apparently windows glitched but hopefully you can help.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,
Let's try to update the Bios, Pen controller, Touchscreen firmware update, either from our HP support website, using this link or download it using HP support assistant.
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend

In this scenario, I would suggest you try to create a new User account and then install the HP Pen control software and firmware for the HP Pen control and most importantly to install the firmware for the Touchscreen.
Please follow the steps from this support article to create a new User account.
Once done, restart the computer and then login to the new user account.
Please follow this software and driver download page to install the HP Pen control software, Firmware for HP Tilt Pen and for Touchscreen.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers 🙂
