Microsoft Windows 11

I had a brush with a virus when I was downloading an app. I deleted it before it got into my programs and did a computer "reset". When my system returned I could not get the  Windows security page (settings/privacy & security/windows security).I only get a blank page where it use to have  a page of more selection after i selected windows security.

How do I get it back to what I originally had before my reset? I' ve tried to inquire in Microsoft but no joy.

Help!

Most likely, you did NOT delete the virus fast enough -- as a common side-effect is the disabling of Windows Security.

A reset will do nothing to remove or disable a virus and is a waste of time.

Modern viruses are very good at hiding from even the best AV products, so the only SAFE thing to do is (1) remove the drive from the PC, connect it to another PC, run a Secure Erase app that completely WIPES the drive. Erasing and Reformatting are not enough -- the drive must be Wiped.

Then (2) use the HP Cloud Recovery tool to create a USB stick you can use to reinstall Windows.

Then (3) replace the drive back into your PC and use the USB stick to reinstall Windows and recreate your account. You will lose everything in the process.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Windows and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

You will need a working PC and a 32GB USB stick to hold the recovery files. Here is the link:

You use the Microsoft Store to download the actual tool:

If you use a different PC to run the tool, you will have to provide your PC's product number. Here is an HP link for finding that information:
