Hi @anilpatel49,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP ENVY 6560e printer is able to print emails but not Word documents from your HP laptop running Windows 10, the issue could be related to the printer settings, driver conflicts, or specific application settings. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Check Printer Default Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP ENVY 6560e printer and select Set as default printer if it’s not already set.
  • Make sure the correct printer is selected when you try to print from Word.

2. Check Printer Status in Word:

  • Open the Word document you want to print.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • Ensure the HP ENVY 6560e is selected as the printer.
  • Check if there are any pending print jobs or errors in the print queue. If so, cancel them.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
  • Expand Print queues, right-click on your printer, and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
  • If updating doesn’t help, reinstall the driver:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select Remove device.
    • Restart your laptop, then visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest driver for your printer model.

4. Run the Printer Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Find and run the Printer troubleshooter. Follow any on-screen instructions to resolve detected issues.

5. Check Microsoft Word Settings:

  • Open Word and go to File > Options > Advanced.
  • Scroll down to the Print section and ensure Print in background is unchecked.
  • Also, check Print to file isn’t enabled.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @anilpatel49 ,

Please find the remaining steps below.

6. Reset the Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in this folder.
  • Go back to the Services window, right-click on Print Spooler, and select Start.

7. Check for Document or File Issues:

  • Try printing a different Word document or a test page to see if the issue persists.
  • If the problem is with a specific document, it might be corrupted. Copy the content into a new Word document and try printing again.

8. Test Printing from Other Applications:

  • Print a document from another application, like Notepad or Adobe Reader, to see if the issue is isolated to Word.

9. Adjust Security and Firewall Settings:

  • Ensure that your security software or firewall isn’t blocking Word’s access to the printer.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus to test if this resolves the printing issue.

10. Check for Office Updates:

  • Open Word, go to File > Account > Update Options and select Update Now.
  • Ensure your Microsoft Office is up to date, as some updates may address printing issues.

If none of these steps resolve the problem, try repairing or reinstalling Microsoft Office. This can often fix specific application-related printing issues. If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
