Microsoft Office - Product and License Information
Three ways to “get” Office Software:
- Purchase Microsoft Office when you purchase your computer,
- Receive a “free one year subscription to Office 365 when you purchase the computer (quite rare). If you have trouble with this exact type of “installed” Office, contact HP Support for recovery options.
- Purchase Office separately from Microsoft or other merchant.
What if: “I found Office already installed on the computer.”
Except as noted, any “pre-installed” Office software is a “Trial” version.
Trial software cannot be activated nor can it be “recovered”.
