@gowtham60, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where an application closes automatically and causes your HP 15s laptop to turn off and on. Let's work together to resolve this.

Check for Windows Updates

Ensure your system is up to date:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update
  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates
  • Restart your PC

Update HP Drivers and BIOS

Outdated drivers or BIOS can cause instability:

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

To check for hardware issues:

  • Turn off the laptop
  • Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  • Run the System Test and Component Tests (especially memory and hard drive)

Check Event Viewer for Application Errors

  • Press Windows + X > Event Viewer
  • Navigate to Windows Logs > Application
  • Look for errors related to the app that crashes and note the details

Perform a Clean Boot

This helps identify if a background service is causing the issue:

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter
  • Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all
  • Go to the Startup tab > Open Task Manager > disable all startup items
  • Restart your PC and try opening the application again

Reinstall the Application

If the issue is isolated to one app:

  • Uninstall the app via Settings > Apps
  • Restart your PC
  • Reinstall the latest version from the official source

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
