On every Windows computer that I've used, I can navigate back a page in a browser such as Chrome by using the backspace key. If I try that on this machine, a message popup telling me to use alt-back arrow. Why? How can I get backspace to work (so that I don't have to retrain my hands)? Thanks.

Hi! @jmpca, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that you are unable to use the backspace key to go back in chrome browser.

The Functionally for the Backspace will be removed in Chrome 52. Use Alt+Left / Alt+Right Arrow Keys to navigate between Pages. Google decided to remove this Keyboard Shortcut because Users lost their Data when they pressed Backspace and accidentally moved back one Page (and lost their Form Data).

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
