HP support assist and indicated calibration was needed. When I ran the calibration, computer said "battery is functioning correctly, but needs to be calibrated. You will experience shorter battery life between charges if it is not calibrated. if battery status is still calibrate, you will need to complete step again. if it won't calibrate the 2nd time, battery may need to be replaced." I did it the 2nd time & got the same result. I also did a component test on the battery, which indicated logic state calibrate battery check - cancelled. I have only had this computer for a month. I also tried to fix this via an online chat with HP. I granted access to the laptop so she could try to repair remotely, but she wasn't able to repair the problem. a service order was created, & I'm supposed to send my laptop to the HP Service Center in Grapevine, TX. I use this laptop for work, and they say I should have it back in 10 days. that is a long time for me to not have my computer. what happens if I only use my laptop plugged in, and do not deal with the calibration issue?
