i recently updated my OS, now my laptop is only charging while in sleep mode or when off,,it has refused to charge when active,,ive tried removing the battery and connecting the laptop directly and it doesn't work ,,I've also tried updating my battery ACPI drivers, buying a new battery a and new adapter but it still wont work,, ive also tried to change the OS but the problem  still remains,,, please advice on what to do,,,because the problem has been recurring for the last few week and i need to get back to work ASAP,,,

I suggest you update the BIOS. Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

 

If you have already replaced the AC Adapter and the Battery, please contact HP Support for Service Options

 


1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

thanks krazy toad, i already tried updating my bios still to no change..the System Board (00A) error is still appearing on my startup screen and worse my battery still wont charge!!!!!!!!!
