@karthiku, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Pavilion x360 is stuck in tablet mode and won't switch back to laptop mode, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Restart Your Device:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve mode-switching issues. Click on the Windows icon, then select Restart.

Check Mode Settings:

  • Swipe from the right to open the action center.
  • Ensure that "Tablet mode" is turned off.
  • If it is not responding, try toggling the "Tablet mode" button back and forth.

Update Display Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager by searching for it in the taskbar.
  • Expand “Display adapters”.
  • Right-click on your graphics driver and select "Update driver".
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software".

Check Rotation Lock:

  • Swipe from the right to open the action center.
  • Ensure the "Rotation Lock" is turned off.

Windows Updates:

  • Open Settings and then navigate to Update & Security.
  • Check for any pending Windows updates and install them.

Reset Windows:

  • Navigate to Settings and then select Update & Security.
  • Go to "Recovery" and choose "Reset this PC." Follow the on-screen prompts to reset your system.

BIOS Update:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there is a BIOS update available for your specific HP Pavilion x360 model.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
