@Kelvin630, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an error code!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

This error code typically indicates a BIOS or hardware-related issue. Try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Power Cycle Your Device

  1. Turn off your HP device completely.
  2. Disconnect the power cable (for desktops) or remove the battery (for laptops).
  3. Hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  4. Reconnect the power and turn it back on.

2. Reset BIOS Settings

  1. Restart your PC and immediately press the BIOS key (F2, F10, F12, or DEL) repeatedly to enter the BIOS menu.
  2. Look for the option "Load Setup Defaults" or "Restore Defaults."
  3. Select it, save the changes, and exit the BIOS.
  4. Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

3. Check for BIOS Updates

  1. Visit HP's official support website.
  2. Enter your device model number and check for a BIOS update.
  3. If an update is available, follow HP’s official instructions to update the BIOS carefully.

4. Check Hardware Components

  • RAM Issues: If your device has multiple RAM sticks, remove and reseat them one by one.
  • CMOS Battery: If your device is older, consider replacing the CMOS battery.
  • Storage Issues: Ensure your HDD/SSD is properly connected.

5. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP devices often have built-in diagnostics tools. Try this:

  1. Restart your PC and press F2 repeatedly during startup.
  2. Select System Diagnostics and run a full test.
  3. Note any error messages or codes.

  2. When did this error start appearing? (After a BIOS update, hardware change, or suddenly?)
  3. Do you have access to the BIOS menu? (Or is the system stuck on the error screen?)
  4. Have you tried any previous troubleshooting steps? (If so, what have you tried?)
  5. Is there any unusual behavior? (Random restarts, no display, beeping sounds, etc.?)

Let me know these details so I can provide a more precise solution! 😊
