Hi @lord_bat,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Notebook - 14 is not booting after a BIOS update, you can try recovering the BIOS to the previous version that worked for you. Unfortunately, I cannot directly provide BIOS files, but I can guide you on how to find and use them.
Steps to Recover BIOS:
Identify the Correct BIOS File:
- Visit the HP support page for your specific laptop model.
- Enter your laptop model HP Notebook - 14 and look for the previous BIOS version (F.23).
Download the Previous BIOS Version:
- Once you find the correct version, download it. The file may be in an executable format (.exe).
Extract the BIOS File:
- Run the executable file on a different computer (not your HP Notebook).
- During the installation process, you should see an option to extract the files without actually flashing the BIOS on the other computer.
- Look for files with a .bin or .rom extension, which are needed for the recovery process.
Prepare a USB Drive for BIOS Recovery:
- Format a USB drive to FAT32.
- Copy the .bin or .rom BIOS file to the root directory of the USB drive.
Initiate BIOS Recovery:
- Ensure the laptop is completely off.
- Insert the USB drive into a USB port on the laptop.
- Press and hold the Windows key + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds, and release the Power button while still holding the Windows key + B.
- You should see a BIOS recovery screen or hear beeping sounds indicating the recovery process has started.
Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the BIOS recovery process.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
