bios recovery

Trying to create bios recovery usb for hp envy 17 cto 2100 on a working computer (envy envy dv7t-7300). Downloaded sp59847 and ran it and it created files on c: and didn't have option to copy to usb before it did, unlike for example sp77453 which gives options to update bios, make usb, or copy to location. Since I ran sp59847 and it is waiting for a reboot, is this going to screw up bios in the computer I am trying to create a usb with? It has a newer bios f2e versus f1c.

Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
The HP BIOS Update screen displays and the recovery begins automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts to continue the startup to complete the recovery.

If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next step to install a BIOS recovery file from the HP website.
If the Power light turns off, the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the button for only 2 to 3 seconds.

I tried these previously with no success. Bios screen does not appear, just blank screen and cap lock 2 flashes.

So their is a possibility of a MEMORY parity error, or the lack of a recovery file on the C:\ (which is part of the Winkey + B (V))

 actually looking for and using.  Worst case is new Main Board.

ROM FILE NOT FOUND IN ROOT DIRECTORY

Caps/Num lock lights = 2 blinks - BIOS recovery code unable to find valid BIOS recovery image.

LED blinks twice.

BIOS corruption failure.

Reset the CMOS:

1 Restore BIOS if available. (If you can access the CMOS battery, pull it out and re-seat it.)

NB:- See the Services Media Library for steps for your PC.

2 Press the Windows  + B keys to do a BIOS recovery.

If the error persists, replace the Main-Board.

I saw the reset of cmos battery earlier. It got me to where the computer started up ok after a few restarts due to bsod errors, going into safe mode, etc. Ran mem chck ok. Hard drive was replaced and recovery partition was not copied. What about my initial question, on if running the wrong bios update is going to screw up my other computer? I still haven't restarted it, so it's probably still waiting on that. Since it is an older bios for a different hp computer, will it be rejected?

I don't know.

There is a "batch" file (.ini) that checks the Main Board SSID so that no install is done if there is no match.

I have had, and run lots of BIOS installs on my machine to check/test them and not installed them.  I also remove them periodically.

So I do not expect that you have installed/overwritten the other PC, but I do not know for certain.
