I can't update BIOS. My version is F04, i tried update to several newer, including F60, but it doesn't work. The update file seems to be OK, the file unpacks, then the programme runs, the system restarts at the end, but the BIOS is still the same.

I tried on my own account and the system administrator too.

I tried also do a bootable pendrive with update software, but while starting the system says, that it can't find any bootable disk. As I saw the pendrive on the file manager, there are some files on it, I mean the pendrive is not empty after doing it as bootable (of course using HP update software).

Dear Customer,

The reason is the current BIOS VER : F04 on your PC is very old and technically you cannot Install/Upgrade to the latest version directly because of the changes made on the BIOS upgrade. Requirements do no meet.

Request you to try upgrading the BIOS VER one after the other.

Example:
First install Version:F.21 (8 Dec 2011)
Then Version:F.22 (24 Feb 2012)
Then Version:F.23 (13 Jun 2012)
Then Version:F.50 (8 Jul 2014)

NOTE: After this BIOS update has been installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be reinstalled.

Then try installing the latest Version:F.60 Rev.A (30 Nov 2015)

Thank you for the reply.

Before I've read it, I tried to do the update for all the newer versions by means of the Windows installer, but it all was in vain. Then I tried through a DOS application. I used FreeDOS - started a computer from a pendrive, then somehow (I write somehow, because I had done many-many attempts before I got success and actually I don't remember the exact way) the DOS update application and eventually it succeeded.  I'm not a computer expert and I had some difficulties, because of differencies in DOS and Win7 64-bit architecture (I'm not sure - disc problems as FAT16, FAT32, NTFS or 16-, 32-, 64-bit architecture of the system and hardware).

Besides this, the link you've given to the update ver F60 rev. A, during updating gives information, that this is a regular F60 version - this is the same name of file, as I have in my computer now (SP73917.exe) and during the start my comupter the information given by my present BIOS is: version F60 from 11. Oct. 2015 (not 30.Nov.2015 as it should be for F60rev.A).

Anyway thank you for the reply.
