I would like you to help me prepare a BIOS update USB for the laptop I specified. Could you send me an image showing which files should be in the folder and what their contents should be? After that, do I need to press F9 to boot from it? Please help me with this.

Watch these two videos at the links below for how to make and use the BIOS recovery flash drive to recover or update the BIOS outside of Windows.

I have tried many times but failed. I even tried the Win+B and Win+P (and Win+V) combinations, but none of them worked. I’ve been struggling with this for a month now and the update still hasn't been successful. Could you please show me exactly what the USB drive's folder structure and files should look like by providing an image? I need to know exactly what to put inside the USB to make this work.
Additionally, my System ID is 8216, but I cannot find a file named 08216.bin inside the USB. The folder contains files like 0820D.bin, 0820D.s12, 08209.bin, 08209.s12, 08217.bin, and 08217.s12. None of these match my specific System ID.

Sorry, but I have given you all of the help I can.

If that didn't work, then most likely the notebook is irreparable unless you replace the system board with a tested and working replacement.

@Turbo61,

There's some exception where BIOS .bin file ID doesn't match the system board ID. That's what happened to an old HP laptop I owned a long time ago.

Are you still using a factory installed hard drive? If so, turn on the notebook and immediately hit the F2 key repeatedly for HP Hardware Diagnostic UEFI tool. If you see Firmware Management tab on the home screen, you can probably find a .bin file ID of your current BIOS, and it may not match the system board ID.

let me know what you find.
