Hi @raghu24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION is a Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) error that typically indicates an issue with the storage subsystem of your computer. This error can occur for various reasons, including problems with hardware, drivers, or the Windows operating system itself. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that include bug fixes for such errors.

Update Device Drivers:

  • Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause BSoD errors. Visit the HP website or use Windows Update to update your device drivers, especially those related to storage and disk controllers.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Hardware problems, such as a failing hard drive or faulty RAM, can also trigger this error. You can use built-in Windows tools to check your hardware's health.
    • Run the built-in Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your RAM for errors.
    • Use the chkdsk command to scan and repair disk errors.
    • Consider using third-party diagnostic tools to check the health of your hard drive.

Check for Disk Space:

  • Ensure that you have enough free space on your hard drive. If your disk is almost full, it can lead to unexpected errors.

Disable or Update Antivirus Software:

  • In some cases, antivirus or security software can conflict with Windows and cause BSoD errors. Try disabling or updating your antivirus software to see if it resolves the issue.

System Restore or Reset:

  • If the issue persists and you're unable to identify the cause, you may consider performing a system restore to revert your system to a previous state where it was working fine. Alternatively, you can perform a Windows reset, which reinstalls Windows while keeping your personal files intact.

Check for Recent Changes:

  • Consider if you've recently installed new software or hardware. Uninstall any recently installed software that might be causing conflicts.

Remember to back up your important data before making any significant changes to your system, especially if you suspect a hardware issue. BSoD errors can sometimes be challenging to diagnose and fix.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
