Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have an HP Victus 15-fa0031dx, product number 68U87UA.

My MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi works normally, but the Bluetooth portion repeatedly fails when I try to enable Bluetooth.

I have already performed extensive troubleshooting, including:

  • Reinstalled the MediaTek Bluetooth drivers multiple times.

  • Installed the correct MediaTek driver package oem19.inf, version 1.3.17.162.

  • Confirmed the driver package successfully installs on the Bluetooth device.

  • Disabled USB power-management settings.

  • Performed a complete power drain.

  • Restarted the Bluetooth PnP device using pnputil /restart-device.

  • Ran HP's System Board hardware diagnostic, which passed.

  • Checked Windows Update; there are no optional driver updates.

  • Windows is currently Windows 11 25H2.

  • BIOS is currently F.31.

The exact Bluetooth hardware ID is:
USB\VID_13D3&PID_3567&MI_00

The adapter initially reports:
Status: OK
Problem Code: 0

However, immediately after I turn Bluetooth on, it fails with:
CM_PROB_FAILED_POST_START
Code 43

Windows Event Viewer also records BTHUSB errors:
Event ID 3: "A command sent to the adapter has timed out. The adapter did not respond."
Event ID 17: "The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded."

This failure is repeatable. The adapter can be successfully restarted with PnP and temporarily reports OK, but enabling Bluetooth causes the same timeout and Code 43 again.

Wi-Fi from the same MediaTek MT7921 card continues to work normally.

Because the adapter is detected correctly but fails during Bluetooth initialization and produces BTHUSB timeout errors, I would like the Bluetooth/WLAN hardware and firmware checked rather than repeating basic driver reinstallation.

Could you please determine whether the WLAN module needs to be replaced under warranty or whether there is a specific HP firmware/BIOS update for this exact 68U87UA configuration?
