Hi @PanosVlasiadis

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with your Bluetooth mouse.

If your new HP 240 Bluetooth mouse is not connecting to your HP laptop, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled

  1. Check Bluetooth on Your Laptop:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

Pairing the Mouse

Put the Mouse in Pairing Mode:

  • Turn on the mouse.
  • Press and hold the pairing button (usually located on the bottom of the mouse) until the LED light starts blinking, indicating it is in pairing mode.

Add a Bluetooth Device:

  • On your laptop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Click Add Bluetooth or other device.
  • Select Bluetooth and wait for your mouse to appear in the list of devices.
  • Select the mouse from the list and follow any on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Update Drivers

  1. Update Bluetooth Drivers:
    • Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager).
    • Expand the Bluetooth section.
    • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Restart Bluetooth Services

  1. Restart Bluetooth Services:
    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Find Bluetooth Support Service, right-click it, and select Restart.
    • Ensure the startup type is set to Automatic.

Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @PanosVlasiadis

Please find the next steps below.

Check for Windows Updates

  1. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

Test on Another Device

  1. Test the Mouse on Another Device:
    • Try pairing the mouse with another Bluetooth-enabled device to check if it works. This can help determine if the issue is with the mouse or the laptop.

Reset Bluetooth

  1. Remove and Re-add the Mouse:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Find your mouse in the list of paired devices and remove it.
    • Try pairing the mouse again by following the pairing process mentioned earlier.

If none of these steps work, there could be a hardware issue with the mouse or the laptop's Bluetooth module. In that case, contacting HP phone support for further assistance would be advisable.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
