@Harshal13, Hi there, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

The error 0xA00F4292 typically indicates a problem with the webcam initialization often due to driver issues, privacy settings, or conflicts with other applications.

Here are some steps to help resolve this issue:

Check Camera Privacy Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
  2. Ensure Camera access is turned On.
  3. Scroll down and make sure Let apps access your camera is also On.
  4. Verify that the app you're using (e.g., Camera, Zoom, Teams) has permission.

Restart Windows Camera Frame Server

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Look for Windows Camera Frame Server under the Processes tab.
  3. If found, right-click and select End Task.
  4. Reopen the Camera app and check if the issue persists.

Update or Reinstall Camera Driver

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  3. Right-click your webcam (e.g., HP Wide Vision HD Camera) and choose:
    • Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
    • If that doesn’t help, choose Uninstall device, then restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Alternatively, you can download the latest drivers from the HP Support page.

Run the Windows Camera Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Scroll down and run the Camera troubleshooter.

Test Webcam in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Turn off your laptop.
  2. Press Esc repeatedly while turning it back on, then press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Select Component Tests > Camera and follow the on-screen instructions.
