Hi @Jackim80, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like Zoom Workplace might be interfering with your camera's resolution or cropping the image. Try these steps to fix it:

Check Zoom Workplace Camera Settings

  • Open Zoom Workplace.
  • Go to Settings (gear icon).
  • Navigate to Video and check the Camera Preview.
  • Look for any cropping, resolution, or aspect ratio settings that may be affecting the view.

Test Camera in Another App

  • Open the Camera app in Windows (Press Win + S, type Camera, and open it).
  • If the Camera app also shows a partial view, the issue is system-wide.
  • If the Camera app works fine, the issue is specific to Zoom Workplace.

Update Camera Drivers

  • Press Win + XDevice Manager.
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
  • Right-click your camera and select Update DriverSearch automatically.
  • Restart your laptop and check if the issue persists.

Reinstall the Camera Driver

  • In Device Manager, right-click the camera and choose Uninstall Device.
  • Restart your laptop; Windows will reinstall the camera driver automatically.

Check Zoom Workplace Permissions

  • Press Win + IPrivacy & securityCamera.
  • Ensure Zoom Workplace has access to the camera.

Try an External Camera

  • If available, connect an external webcam to check if it works fine in Zoom Workplace.
  • If the external camera works, your laptop's built-in camera may need a firmware update or replacement.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
