Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Can my HP 15 R264DX play blue ray disks. I tried one and it didn't work. I have windows 8.1 64 bit. The DVD drive is HP DVDRW GUBON firmware UB00. Microsoft Virtual DVD-ROM firmware 1

It ONLY has  SuperMulti DVD burner therefore it can't play Bluray disces - full stop.

Thank you and I believe in your response due to reality however I think my Blu-ray capabilities were disabled by intelligence and time somehow to go against my nature.

Hi,

 

Sorry. BlueRay and DVD are totally 2 different technologies using two different laser beams. Bluray uses blue beam that why we call Bluray.

 

Did you know we also have another technology called Redray and they says it is much better than Bluray - still very expensive bow.
