cannot run or install omen command center after windows update

This is a new Omen 15 gaming laptop.

After running windows update for the first time, Omen Command Center would no longer run.

Also, HP System Event Utility would not run.

Both were running previously.

I have installed the Command Center SDK, but when trying to install the Command Center and System Event Utility from the Microsoft Store, they both fail near the end of installation with an "Unexpected Error..." message being displayed.

I've restarted and tried again several times without success.

How can I fix this?

@tm-say You may want to install all available windows updates, as a patch may have been released by Microsoft to resolve such issues,

if that doesn't work, I suggest you create a new user account and check if that works: click here for steps.
