Hi @Trinity35

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It looks like your Victus by HP 16-s0000 is experiencing an issue where ending the Omen Command Center background process allows the taskbar to unhide but stops the fan from running

This suggests that the Omen Gaming Hub is controlling fan behavior, and terminating it disrupts cooling functions.

Adjust Taskbar Settings Without Ending Omen Command Center

  • Go to SettingsPersonalizationTaskbar.
  • Ensure Automatically hide the taskbar is enabled.
  • Try toggling the setting off and on to reset behavior.

Modify Omen Gaming Hub Fan Settings

  • Open Omen Gaming Hub and go to Performance Control.
  • Set the fan mode to Auto or Manual to ensure it remains active even if the background process is closed.

Check for Omen Gaming Hub Updates

  • Visit HP’s official support page and update Omen Gaming Hub to the latest version.
  • Some users have reported that updating the software resolves fan control issues.

Try a Clean Reinstallation of Omen Gaming Hub

  • Uninstall Omen Gaming Hub from SettingsAppsInstalled Apps.
  • Restart your laptop and reinstall the latest version from HP’s support site.

Use an Alternative Fan Control Software

  • If Omen Gaming Hub is causing conflicts, consider using HWMonitor or SpeedFan to manually control fan speeds.
