I'm trying to update the bios on my laptop, I have a HP pavilion with a Ryzen 5 5500 ou cpu. It is running windows 10 version 22h2. When i'm looking for the newer bios version the hp website has a windows 10 version 20h2 option and a windows 11 version 22h2 option. It looks as if I need to upgrade to windows 11 to update the bios but I want to stay on windows 10. Can I use the windows 10 version 20h2 bios update or am I out of luck unless I upgrade to windows 11?

While I can't guarantee 100% no problem, I can't think of any reason why the W10 20H2 BIOS update would cause any issues if you ran it on W10 22H2.

I just updated the BIOS in my HP 15-ee0047nr notebook which is running the pre-release version of W11 24H2 with a W10 BIOS update and it updated with no issues whatsoever.

I've done it with previous BIOS updates too, because HP has not provided W11 drivers for the model series even though it is supported for W11.
