Hello everyone. im having trouble getting my laptop to up grade to windows 10 pro. i have erased the ssd drive and installed a version that said windows 10 pro that i bought over the internet. everytime i install it it says windows 10 home and never has said pro. i even took the drive out and hooked it uo to my desktop and tried it that way but coundnt get it to install on the ssd drive.

 

any and all help is very appreciated.

The only way you can upgrade from W10 Home to W10 Pro is to follow the guidance at the link below:

 

Upgrade Windows Home to Windows Pro - Microsoft Support

 

Several versions of W10 are actually included in the installation media you have, and the product key in the BIOS automatically installs the version the key is good for.

 

That's why you have to change the W10 Home key to the W10 Pro key you have in order to upgrade to W10 Pro.
