Hi @ghaleb,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with the chrome browser on your Laptop.

Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.

Background Tabs or Extensions: Sometimes, background tabs or extensions can automatically play media. Try disabling all extensions to see if the issue persists. You can do this by going to chrome://extensions/ and toggling them off. Also, check if there are any tabs running in the background by reviewing all open tabs.

Startup Settings: Chrome can be set to open specific pages on startup. Go to Chrome Settings (chrome://settings/), then under the "On startup" section, check if YouTube or any other unexpected pages are set to open.

Malware or Unwanted Software: Ensure that your computer is free of malware or unwanted software that could be causing this behavior. Running a full system scan with a trusted antivirus program might help.

Reset Chrome Settings: Since you've already tried reinstalling Chrome, resetting Chrome settings might be worth a try. You can reset Chrome to its default settings by going to Chrome Settings (chrome://settings/), scrolling down to "Advanced," and selecting "Restore settings to their original defaults."

Check for Updates: Make sure both Chrome and your operating system are up to date. Sometimes, bugs that cause issues like this can be fixed in updates.

Profile Issue: Sometimes, issues can be tied to a specific user profile. Try creating a new user profile in Chrome and see if the problem persists with that new profile.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
