Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

You will need to install a new battery to fix the problem.

It is not recommended to continue to use the notebook with a swollen battery.

Hi how do I fix at startup the problem of' error CMOS RESET 502

I state that once started if I restart it later it does not do it anymore,

Until the next day, it may be because the battery is not present.

And present on this pc the backup battery for the bios?

I hope you can help me

Thank you

Hi, @johnny5311

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

OMEN by HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

It does not have a separate battery to retain the CMOS settings.

The main internal battery also serves as the CMOS battery.

You may want to test and calibrate the battery and see if that helps any.

Thanks for the reply

So this error is because I don't have any battery?

Thank you

You're very welcome.

Something is probably wrong with your notebook's main battery because that is what keeps the CMOS settings.

It is either that or the actual CMOS chip on the motherboard.

There is no separate coin cell CMOS battery in most HP notebooks that have an internal battery.

If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, the list of parts shows no CMOS or RTC battery and there is no procedure listed in chapter 5 or chapter 6 of the manual to remove or replace a CMOS battery.

Now it's gone, I'm using it with the power grid without battery.

Why do I have that error?

I think if you shut down and unplug the notebook, the error will return.
