I upgraded bios as required with hp assistant. once completed my bookmarks were gone. Are they recoverable or lost.

Never heard that before...

 

Anyway, which web browser are you referring to? Microsoft Edge? Chrome? FireFox? Opera? etc etc.

Hello @kevin-65,

 

Firstly, just ensure, if your bookmarks are associated with your Google account, that you're signed into Google Chrome so that your bookmarks actually sync. You can check if you're signed into Google Chrome be checking the profile icon in the top right corner of the browser. 

 

There's also the process of checking the backups of the bookmarks bar but it's unlikely that there is any backup available, unfortunately. It's still worth a try so you can check out a tutorial on how to do it here.
