@Kishore_25, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're experiencing issues with the cursor shaking continuously and mistouches while typing or tapping on your HP Notebook - 14s-cr2000tu. This is often related to the touchpad sensitivity, driver issues, or hardware interference. Let's go through a few steps to resolve this:

Disable Touchpad While Typing

Sometimes, accidental palm touches can cause cursor movement.

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad
  • Scroll down and enable the option:
"Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected" (optional)
    OR
"Touchpad sensitivity" → Set to Low sensitivity

Update or Reinstall Touchpad Driver

Corrupt or outdated drivers can cause erratic cursor behavior.

  • Open Device Manager (Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager)
  • Expand "Mice and other pointing devices"
  • Right-click on the Touchpad device (e.g., Synaptics or ELAN) → Select Uninstall device
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Alternatively, you can download the latest touchpad driver from HP: Official HP® Support

Check for External Mouse or USB Device Conflicts

If you're using an external mouse or USB device, disconnect it and observe if the issue persists.

Perform HP Hardware Diagnostics

To rule out hardware issues:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly → Then press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  • Run the Touchpad Test under Component Tests

BIOS Update (Optional but Recommended)

Sometimes BIOS updates improve touchpad performance.

Additional Tips:

  • Clean the touchpad surface gently with a microfiber cloth.
  • Avoid using the laptop on soft surfaces (like beds or cushions) that may cause grounding issues.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
