Older versions of the HP Support Assistant used to have a device list format where you could remove unwanted devices.
I don't use HPSA but I have it installed for reference --
It appears the latest version of the HPSA application is now using the Device List as would be found in your HP Account Dashboard.
I've not found a way to manage the list of "stuff added to HP Support Assistant" within the current HP Support Assistant.
You can, I believe, select the unwanted device and switch OFF the automatic updates for it in Settings.
That leaves the printer in the list but should settle the update checks.
Depending on how you feel about having a record of the old printer, this might be enough.
That said,
The Device List in your HP Account should still work for you to remove unwanted computer / printer from the master list of your devices.
