Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
my 2540 HP all in one's access has been lost to the scanner. It remains printing but I cannot open the software and run scans. I ran HPPSdr.exe, and it tells me problem with device manager. i cannot seem to download a new one. Help

Please use HP Scan Extended software to scan:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10/11:
(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"
You can put a shortcut on Taskbar or Desktop
