HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fc0000 IDS Base Model

I don't do gaming beyond an occasional game of solitaire or free cell or chess. Omen Gaming Hub is using my computer's resources and I want to disable it.  From other posts, it appears difficult to do that.  Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Hi @MasonSenvy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To disable or uninstall Omen Gaming Hub on your HP Envy x360 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop, you can try the following steps.

Uninstall Omen Gaming Hub

  1. Open the Start menu and type "Add or remove programs" and press Enter.
  2. In the Apps & Features section, scroll through the list of installed applications and find Omen Gaming Hub.
  3. Click on Omen Gaming Hub, and then click Uninstall.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.

Disable Omen Gaming Hub from Startup

If you don't want to uninstall the software but want to prevent it from running in the background at startup:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Startup tab.
  3. Find Omen Gaming Hub in the list, right-click on it, and choose Disable.
  4. This will stop it from automatically starting up when you boot your computer.

Disable Background Processes via Settings

If you don't want to uninstall or disable startup, you can stop the app's background processes manually:

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  2. Find Omen Gaming Hub under the Processes tab.
  3. Right-click it and choose End Task. This will stop the app temporarily until the next time you restart the laptop.

These steps should help you minimize the impact of Omen Gaming Hub on your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
