hi I am using hp 850 g6 laptop my display Stucks at 6 bit depth instead of8 bit

I have done almost everything but nothing happened

Hi @Nabeel1226 

 

This is because you have a 6-bit + 2-bit FRC (Frame Rate Control) display. FRC is an emulation of the other 2 bits needed to get to 8 bits; it is not a native 8-bit display but emulates it.

 

So Intel graphics drivers and other brands cannot identify the screen that uses FRC bits. You can test this by changing the Intel graphics drivers and installing the generic Microsoft VGA drivers, and you will see that it displays 8 bits.
