I can't print on my new hp printer without signing up for hp instant ink program.  I don't want to sign up for instant ink

You need not subscribe to Instant Ink.

Instant Ink Subscription is an optional service contract.

The marketing can be a bit intense --

Just keep saying "No, thank you" or "Skip" as many times as it takes to banish the suggestions.
