Hi:

HP retired support for that model series since it is more than 10 years old.

Since you have installed W10, you wouldn't be able to update the BIOS, as all the BIOS updates were written to be run with Windows XP or Vista.

Anyone updating the BIOS on a dv6700 with an AMD processor, and not running a supported operating system is 100% guaranteed to destroy their notebook.

Some folks have has success updating the BIOS on the models with an Intel processor, but not 100%, so I would not do it.

For other drivers, you can get them from this reputable 3rd party website...

For models with the AMD processors:

Download HP Pavilion dv6700z drivers for Windows Vista, BIOS and firmware (helpjet.net)

For models with the Intel processors:

Download HP Pavilion dv6700t drivers for Windows Vista, BIOS (helpjet.net)
