When I dowload update files, they will not open/launch. Error messages for various missing dll files.
Think it is my 3d software is attempting to open the files. If so, what app. should I assosiate with the files to open them?

Hi,
When you download file does is the extension .exe and it opens with 3d program. You can view extensions by opening folder going to tab view and check the view extensions of files.
The other possibility is that the file is downloaded with .exe and the computer opens the .exe files as if they were .stl files.
In the first case try to use a different Browser such as Chrome and see if the files are still downloaded with different extension.
In second case here is link to some solution you can try.

Hi David, thanks for your prompt reply!
I found that I could rename the files with a new extension 'exe' and run them ok.
I then download from Chrome and the extension did not get change?
So will use Chrome from now on!
Thanks for your advice-spot on!

Your welcome Jimbo.
If you were uding internet explorer before, you can try reseting and it should work again

This is also possible in Firefox and other browsers, just check online how to reset.
All the best,
