=====================================================
That might be one of the more unusual things I've heard done to a browser.
Essentially, some browsers do dig into your account and save data there.
Consider
Uninstall the browser
Look in your AppData > Local > Microsoft
If you find the Edge folder, consider removing it.
Be Aware
Note the word "consider".
Assuming the folder is there, it would likely contain data related to your personal settings used in Edge.
Be aware that removing the folder would remove any data saved in that location.
What else?
Best Option...
Not a computer issue - this is Microsoft Edge browser problem.
Contact / check with Microsoft for help with their browser.
What else?
Use a different Browser until you figure out how to fix the issue with Edge.
