I was trying to get the camera to work. The message said to hit a toggle key. I hit the one that looks like a camera with a slash through it that had a red light on. It emptied my inbox with a message saying that's it for the day. There was no question to ask if I wanted to do this. I don't know if the emails are still on the phone since it is not my computer or phone. Where are the emails and how do I retrieve them?

Hi @Robin8800
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially since there was no confirmation before your emails disappeared.
Based on similar reports, pressing the camera toggle key on some HP Envy laptops may trigger unexpected system actions, possibly affecting email visibility.
Steps to Retrieve Your Emails:
1. Check Your Email Account Online
- If your emails were from a web-based service (like Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo), log in via a web browser.
- Verify if the emails are still in your Inbox, Trash, or Archived folders.
2. Search for Hidden Emails
- Open your email app and use the search bar to look for specific emails.
- Try searching for keywords or sender names.
3. Check Email Sync Settings
- If using Outlook or another email client, go to Settings → Accounts → Sync Settings.
- Ensure email sync is enabled.
4. Restart Your Laptop
- Sometimes, a simple restart can restore missing emails if they were temporarily hidden.
5. Restore Emails from Backup
- If your email provider supports backups, check if you can restore emails from a previous state.
Let me know if any of these steps help! I appreciate your patience while we work through this.
