HP Pavillion Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I removed my old printer from this laptop. I am now getting this message after starting the computer each time:

"There was a problem starting C:\program files\hp\hp deskjet 3050 J610 series/bin/hpstatusbl.dll"

How do I get rid of this?

Printer has been uninstalled / removed – error message persists

  • Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)
  • Type (copy and paste) into the address bar and press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

  • Delete (drag the file to Trash bin) the shortcut for monitor ink alerts
