Hi! When I go to performance management, a window pops up with the inscription - "system unauthorized access exception"
there is an UPDATE button in the window, I wait for the button to show the update is loading and it gives the error again - "system unauthorized access exception"
Tried reinstalling the app - didn't help

Hi @Junk92,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "System Unauthorized Access Exception" error you're encountering on your OMEN Laptop when trying to access the performance management tool is likely related to a permission issue or a problem with the software itself. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Run as Administrator:
- Right-click on the performance management application or the shortcut.
- Select "Run as administrator" to see if elevated permissions resolve the issue.
Check for Updates:
- Make sure your OMEN Laptop and its operating system are up to date with the latest updates and drivers.
- Visit the official HP website to download and install any available updates for your laptop, especially BIOS updates and drivers related to performance management.
Antivirus and Firewall:
- Sometimes, security software like antivirus or firewall settings can interfere with software installations and updates. Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and try updating again.
Clear Cache and Temp Files:
- Clear cache and temporary files on your system to ensure there are no conflicts causing the error. You can do this through the Windows Disk Cleanup tool.
Check Permissions:
- Ensure that your user account has the necessary permissions to access and modify the performance management software. You can check this in the software's settings or through Windows User Account Control (UAC) settings.
Reinstall with Administrator Privileges:
- Uninstall the performance management software.
- Reboot your laptop.
- Download the latest version of the software from the official HP website.
- Right-click on the installer and choose "Run as administrator" to install it.
System Restore (Advanced):
- As a last resort, you might consider performing a system restore to a point when the performance management software was working correctly. Be cautious with this option, as it will revert your system to a previous state.
Remember to back up any important data before making significant changes to your system, and always exercise caution when modifying system settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
