Hello,
I would like to leave my notebook always connected to the ethernet cable, even when I switch off the notebook.
I use the HP adaptator USB-C to ethernet.
My problem is that the ethernet cable stays powered when the notebook is off, the LED on the adaptator and on the router continue to blink. So the battery drains during the night and is completely empty after a fews days without use.
I have another old notebook without this problem, so I think it could be changed through settings.
I tried to change some settings in the BIOS (disable wake on LAN, disable USB power, ... ) but nothing changed.
I also tryied to find some settings in Windows 11, but I didn't find anything.
Any idea?

That is normal because for the WOL(Wake-on-Lan) process to work machine needs to have power on its network adapter. It may go off when plugging your machine to an AC outlet.
Regards.
