Hi @adi1o6 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the fan on your HP Pavilion Aero 13.3 inch Laptop is making noise, it might be due to a few common issues:
- Dust Build-Up: Dust and debris can accumulate in the fan and vents, causing the fan to make more noise. You can try gently cleaning the vents with a can of compressed air. Make sure to do this in a well-ventilated area to avoid blowing dust into the laptop.
- Overheating: If the laptop is overheating, the fan will work harder to cool it down, which can result in more noise. Ensure that the laptop is used on a hard, flat surface to allow proper ventilation. Check for any software or processes that might be causing excessive CPU usage, which can also contribute to overheating.
- Fan Obstruction: Sometimes, the fan blades can be obstructed or misaligned. If you’re comfortable with it, you can open the laptop to check for any visible obstructions. Be cautious and follow proper procedures to avoid damaging the internal components.
- Fan Issues: The fan itself might be malfunctioning or worn out. If the noise persists Run the hardware test HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
- BIOS and Drivers: Ensure your BIOS and system drivers are up to date, as updates can sometimes address hardware issues. You can check for updates on the HP Support website.
