There are two bios version "families" for my hp laptop:

-> i don't know which version is the right one.

Hp assistant does not present me any update whereas there is at least one.

Hp website does not show which bios version is the right one.

i don't want to brick my laptop by installing the wrong version so how could i find the right version ?

thank you

Hello @ylecollen

F.25 Rev.A is the right one.

Please follow instructions ...

(1) Update BIOS

HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors)

F.25 Rev.A12.3 MBJul 25, 2022Download

Why should you install the update ?

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:

  • An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
  • The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
  • HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.

"

(2) Reboot

(3) Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done !

Hello @ylecollen

In your case, it wasn't that hard. Your old bios version is included in the <revision history> of BIOS version F.25.

--->>> F.25 Rev.A

Click + [Revision history]

Standard procedure would be:
(1) Identify mainboard model
(2) Identify the appropriate BIOS version

Good luck and have fun
