Hi @AryanZia,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find a compatible fingerprint scanner driver for your HP 15 8th gen laptop running Windows 11, follow these steps.
Check the HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop model number in the search box.
- Navigate to the "Drivers & Software" section.
- Select your operating system (Windows 11) and look for any available fingerprint scanner drivers.
Update Windows:
- Sometimes, Windows Update can provide the necessary drivers.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.
Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select it).
- Locate the fingerprint scanner under "Biometric Devices" or a similar category.
- Right-click on the device and select Update Driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
HP Support Assistant:
- Use the HP Support Assistant tool if installed on your laptop. It can help detect and install the latest drivers and updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
