Spectre x360 13-ac031ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Spectre recommends me to update my TPM.

I am forwarded to the microsoft support site. There I can click on a link to download the firmware update from HP-Support.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05792935

In the list I can`t find my notebook model. So now I don`t now where I can download the TPM-update.

Does someone knows the problems or knows how to solve it?

@Spectre-Study,

Good Day.  A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case assistance with TPM firmware update for your computer.  Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:

  • Did you check the product specifications of the notebook if there is a TPM chip in it?

Let me keep you posted about a few things here:

  • The fact that your computer is not affected by this list means that your computer does not require the TPM firmware update.
  • Trusted Platform Module is a chip on this computer. It is a chip built inside the computer on the motherboard that requires Bit locker to activate and use it.
  • So, you can ignore this message as there is no problem with your computer. The TPM firmware is mainly for Business computers that are affected by the update as a lot of security is required for it.
  • The firmware update is not intended for this computer.
  • Excellent research was also done by you. Hats off to you for a job well done.

Service and Maintenance Guide: https://hp.care/2rQHdeo There is a TPM chip on this computer and its other related model series. Refer to page# 3 of this guide. But it is not affected by any update as it is bit listed in the advisory of affected models. So there is nothing to worry about regarding your computer here as there is no impact on it.

Hope this answers your question. Your uncanny knack to pay attention to detail is laudable.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
