I will give the suggestions a try. I think I will keep Eset, I find it catches stuff better than windows defender, and photo shop as I use it.
I am not sure if my photo of the Upgrade for AMD Catalyst Suite......1 st photo I believe... would that be okay or not okay to install?
What does java do exactly? If i need I will update it.
Thank you, I know those were long files to read through, much appreciated.

Hi,
You are welcome - my pleasure.
I agree with you re. ESET - it does find more than Windows Defender - the suggestion was just to try to see if you will gain any performance improvement.
Re. Java - probably it installed long time ago for some website.
End users use Java if some specific website is written so that it requires your Java plugin to work.
If you are not sure if you need it - just remove it. If some web site does not work and requires Java, you will get notified somehow by the site. More info:
In all cases, your version of Java is extremely old and this is huge security risk - it needs to be removed or updated.

Fragmentation went to 100% and stayed that way.
All of a sudden the system hard drive was 0% fragmented (Dec. 28, 2016). Don't know why it fixed itself, unless updates that happen did this? Computer does not work any better, often I can out type it as whole words sometimes lag?
The HP lap top is not working any better, I think it may be still screwed up as it is slow and frustating, no matter what I try.

Hello,
I am sorry for the issues you experience with your computer.
As mentioned previoys, the System partition is just a partition (small section of your hard disk drive, not the main one) and this does not affect the performance of your computer. Here is another statement from another computer expert [Microsoft MVP] >> https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-performance/defragment-and-optimize-driv... , he confirms what I said.
I will post again my previous statements:
- Your computer does not officially support Windows 10 and is designed to run Windows 7. The PC works best with Windows 7.
You may eventually perform HP Recovery (restore to Windows 7) >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867418/
- Your PC is a bit old one. I am afraid you should not expect the best-in-class performance also due to the fact that the PC has AMD processor (1.6 Ghz) and HDD 5400 RPM, also old models. You may upgrade your computer's disk to SSD (Solid State Drive) - this is strongly recommended as SSDs are way faster, more repliable and lighter. More info on SSDs:
>> http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2404258,00.asp
- If you feel your PC is slow, here are some things you may try >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05207140
- You can try to uninstall ESET to see if this will bring back some performance and if this will improve. Although it is generally light and fast AV, for a PC that old and with these specs I would try to run built-in Windows Defender. Windows Defender is not so bad.
- Keep in mind that Adobe's Photoshop is somewhat heavier software for a PC that old and with these specs.
- After all of the above, you can see if you want to disable some programs from starting up with Windows. Here is how >> http://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/
- You can use a program from Piriform (CCleaner) to remove unwanted and unnecessary temporary files www.piriform.com
- You may want to check if Windows Update has installed all updates so that it does not install updates all the time. If you run Windows 7, I recommend that disable automatic updates to ensure better performance. Instead, install updates manually once a month or once every 2-3 months.
Let me know if you require specific assistance or if something is not clear.
