I bought the HP ProbookX360 435 G8 notebook last week.  The front facing camera does not work. Please help.

It may have a lens cover, please slide it away.

Regards.

I have a HP ProBook 450 G7 Notebook, bought three months ago.  Win10 Pro, all updates installed etc.

Yesterday, against my better judgment, I installed a raft of patches proposed by HP Support Assistant. I know I shouldn't have done it, as these have caused me grief in the past, but I went ahead anyway and installed:

  • HP BIOS and System Firmware (T70/T85/T87/T88/T89/T99)
  • HP Hotkey Support - UWP
  • Intel WLAN Driver
  • Realtek Ethernet Controller Drivers - DHCU- CMIT- NB (QTA)
  • Realtek HD Audio Driver

Today I wanted to use my webcam in Skype, and it no longer works. The little light comes on, but no image is rendered. Device Manager show no events, and states that "The device is working properly" and that the best driver for this device is already installed. For my Skype call I successfully used an external webcam.

Any ideas on this?

TIA

Michael
