Back in those days most HP entry level business class notebooks did not come with TPM 1.2 security chips.

You can easily check if yours has a TPM security chip by going to the device manager.

If the notebook has a TPM 1.2 security chip, there will be a Security device category in the device manager.

If it has this category, click to expand that and you will see the TPM 1.2 security device listed there.

if your notebook does not have a Security devices category, then it does not come with a TPM 1.2 security chip.
