Hi @Bo113,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when Microsoft Copilot isn’t communicating properly on your HP PC, especially when you're trying to use it for productivity or troubleshooting. Let’s walk through what might be going wrong and how to fix it.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Check Windows Version
- Copilot requires Windows 11. To check:
- Press Win + R, type winver, and press Enter.
- Confirm you're running Windows 11 23H2 or later.
2. Enable Copilot on the Taskbar
- Right-click on the desktop → Personalize → Taskbar.
- Scroll to Taskbar items and toggle Copilot to ON.
3. Access Copilot
- Press the Copilot key on newer HP keyboards.
- Or press Windows + C on older keyboards.
- Or click the Copilot icon on the taskbar.
4. Update Windows and Microsoft 365
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates.
- Open any Microsoft 365 app (Word, Excel) → go to File > Account > Update Options → Update Now.
5. Check HP AI Companion (for Copilot+ PCs)
If your HP PC is a Copilot+ model, it may include the HP AI Companion app with enhanced features.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
