Hi @samspravljus,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To set a macro to increase and decrease the volume using the P1 and P2 keys on an OMEN Laptop-17, you can follow these steps.
- Launch the OMEN Command Center software. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the official HP website for your specific OMEN Laptop model.
- Once the OMEN Command Center is open, navigate to the "Macros" section. This section allows you to create and manage macros for different keys on your keyboard.
- In the Macros section, locate the P1 key and select it.
- Click on the "Create Macro" or "Add Macro" button, depending on the version of the Command Center you're using.
- A new window or interface should appear, where you can record or manually set the macro. Choose the option to manually set the macro.
- In the macro settings, specify the command for increasing the volume. This can vary depending on the operating system you're using. For example, on Windows, the command to increase volume is usually the combination of the "Volume Up" key (which can be different on various laptop keyboards) or the media key for volume up.
- Assign the desired volume increase command to the P1 key.
- Repeat the same process for the P2 key, but this time assign the command for decreasing the volume.
- Once you've set both macros, save the changes and exit the macro settings.
- Test the macros by pressing the P1 key to increase the volume and the P2 key to decrease the volume. Make sure the OMEN Command Center is running in the background for the macros to work.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
