Hi, I have a problem I have been trying to update the BIOS of my hp pavilion dv6925la Notebook pc because I bought a ssd but it goes really slow so I thought that could be the problem, the version that currently has is F.58, its from 2008 so Im pretty sure there should be at least a newer version
Does anyone know where I can find the file, please?; It doesn't appear on "support" (at least for me) so I have no idea where to find it)

Hi:
HP retires support for products that are over 10 years old.
Here are the links to the last BIOS update HP released for dv6900 models with Intel processors...
Info:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48001-48500/sp48024.html
Exe:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48001-48500/sp48024.exe
I doubt that updating the BIOS will make any difference in the SSD's performance.
The max it can run at is at the SATA II drive controller speed (3.0 GB/S).

this question maybe kind of dumb but I just need to open the Exe file you send me in my computer right???
also the file you send me says that this supports the HARDWARE PRODUCT MODEL(S):
Compaq Presario V6500 Notebook PCSeries
HP Pavilion dv6500 Notebook PC Series
HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC Series
HP Pavilion dv9700 Notebook PC Series
HP Pavilion dx6500 Notebook PC Series
that includes my dv6925la right? (I know I cant turn my computer into a brick if I install the incorrect BIOS version) so that's why I ask so much thanks and Im waiting for your reply I don't want to take risks

Hi:
It should be the right one.
There aren't any others, except the one for the models with AMD processors.
I don't know why HP left out the dv6700 model series.
It is exactly the same as the dv9700 model series except for the size of the display.
The dv9700 models have the 17.3" display and the dv6700 models have the 15.6" display.
